Garlic City RailRoad Spring Show 2008

While attending Z’s science fair (more on that later) and choir concert this evening I picked up the flier pictured to the left. I’ve been trying to remember to take Z to visit the All Aboard Train Store on Monterey since first moving down here, but something always seems to come up. You see, I’m not a model train buff. I have always been fascinated by them, though and do dream of creating one of those massive scale layouts when I’m wealthy enough to dedicate that much space in my home to something entirely unproductive, yet entertaining. Instead, it appears the shop will be coming to “us” :)

The event, being held at South Valley Middle School on April 12, will feature operating layouts, vendor sales, a raffle, prizes and food.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors older than 60 and free for children younger than 8 and a portion of the admission goes to the South Valley Middle School science camp scholarship.

For more details swing by All Aboard Junction or call 408-846-8841
