New Salvation Army Opens In Gilroy

While visiting the American Girl event at the Gilroy Crossing Michael’s this morning Z and I stumbled across Gilroy’s New Salvation Army store.  Compared to the homey, traditional shop they’ve had on Monterey for decades now, this place is huge.  It’s not Wal-Mart huge, but it’s pretty darn big.

The building is new, so its rather spiffy both inside and out with easy access and plenty of parking.  The interior is full, but not crowded with roughly 75% more space then the old shop.  Most of it is filled with women’s clothing, of course, but their furniture and electronics sections have also grown substantially.  They even had a half dozen desktop computer systems available in addition to several wide screen televisions.

I sent Zaira in to grab a few pictures and she came out with quite a few, so I’m going to share them all with you here. The last few show the old Gilroy Salvation Army-
