Grimm’s Fairy Tales at Gavilan College Theatre

The Gavilan College Children’s Theatre class (under the tutelage of Dr. John Lawton Haehl) will be presenting their original adaptation of Grimm’s Fairy Tales on Saturday December 6th at the Gavilan College Theatre (5055 Santa Teresa Blvd).

They’ve adapted more than a half dozen of the Grimm Brothers’ tales into an hour long production aimed at entertaining student audiences.  The set designer has created an elaborate, magical forest on the stage and its denizens are costumed in styles based on the Victorian children’s story illustrations of Sir Arthur Rackham.

There will only be two performances of Grimm’s Fairy Tales: a matinee at 2:00 pm and an evening performance at 7:00 pm.  Advance tickets are available at either the Gavilan Bookstore or BookSmart in Morgan Hill – $12 for adults, $8 for students, children and senior citizens.  There is also a “Family Pak” available for $30 (2 adults & 2 kids), and Gavilan students may purchase a second ticket for half-price.
