Mary Jane Goods Fuses High Science And High Art

Gilroy’s got quite a few stores that might as well be head shops. Even though I’ve never desired to partake myself that doesn’t mean I’m not a fan of the accessories that sometimes go along with the breaking of the most regularly violated law in the world. But this post isn’t about whether or not an individual should have the right to smoke anything they want. Instead it’s a query as to why I’ve been unable to find the t-shirt pictured on the left at any of the local shops.

The shirt’s from Mary Jane Goods and depicts the DNA (or genetic footprint) of Cannabis Sativa. Personally, I just think it looks pretty cool.  And t-shirts aren’t the only things with ‘high‘ quality images available from MJ Goods.

Those pictures on the wall are art “stash boxes” which aren’t really ‘boxes’ at all, though I do agree they’re mighty artistic. They’re essentially renderings of the same DNA on the shirt, but painted on to one side of a poplar wood cube. The back of the cube is left open providing an easily accessible (and searchable) location for you to “stash” whatever you desire.  Again, I’ve got nothing to stash, but I do think the concept of these goods is rather ingenious and I’m sure they’ll sell like gangbusters.

However, if you can’t wait for the local head shops to catch up with the times you can always order them direct from the Mary Jane Goods website.
