Independence. After Our Shift Is Over.

While driving Zaira to an Independence Day/birthday party this afternoon I once again gave her my spiel/rant about how people in America don’t understand the holidays they celebrate. In addition to my traditional tirade against calling today’s celebrations “4th of July” parties I added in that if we were truly interested in celebrating our independence and freedom then all businesses would be closed.

Imagine the belly laugh I had, then when I pulled into the Wienerschnitzel drive-thru on First St. and discovered the sign pictured above.  Welcome toAmerica!  Land of the free (after our shift is over).

  1. My favorite celebration is 4th July :) So many happy people, parades and carnavals everywhere:)) and I even can explain how much love the fireworks :) )

  2. They are saying that they will shift out only when they get another house but we know that they have not been looking out for any other house, and they are pretty cool about the whole issue.
